Ch-ch-ch-Changes

A few weeks into marriage and I'm noticing some big changes all ready. The biggest of which has been the switch from a "pre-marriage ward" (a.k.a. singles' ward) to a family (a.k.a. retirement ward). No, I'm not joking about the retirement. The boundaries of our current ward include a retirement community, a small neighborhood of condominiums, and a small set of townhomes.

So essentially, I will be going from this:

To this:

Yikes.

That is my ward exactly! When we moved in they told us the ward was either newly wed or nearly dead. Where are you living?

We're living in Bountiful. It's a nice area, just really, really strange demographics.

Hollie, I'll have you know that man hold the world record for longest ear hair.

That's so funny! We were in a student married ward in Idaho and now we are in a "newly-wed and nearly-dead" ward (at least that's what they call them here). Enjoy the change!

My parent's ward is definitely one of those newly-wed or nearly dead wards.. complete with ear hair ;) my advice is not to discredit the "old" people just yet.. they may break a hip when attempting to slip&slide but they will offer help (they have lots of time on their hands), guidance, and amazing stories that you can definitely learn from!! at least I hope they do ;)

It's a big change from a singles/students ward to a newlywed/nearly-dead ward. Good luck!
