A penny for your thoughts

I have been back and forth between wedding colors, and THIS is what I think I've come up with. The only problem is, will I be able to find flowers, ties, and other clothing items in a rust color. Thoughts?

My other option was going to be plum and dark chocolate. I think I might be starting to like that idea more and more....

RUST -

Pros: very timely for November, bright, still somewhat manly, for those of us wearing ties

Cons: fairly "poppy" and bright for winter

PLUM -

Pros: more subtle, goes great with brown, doesn't stick out too much

Cons: technically, it's a shade of purple, which is not so manly. but this is a wedding after all. oh - and purple always makes me thirsty for grape kool-aid. just sayin'.

Megan! I love both of those duo's but my favorite would be plum and dark chocolate. Those seem more "wedding" then the other pair. Love you!

Both look really cute. The plum says, "Go Wildcats" while the rust says, "Carleen looks great in these colors." :)
I think you could get really great flowers in both colorways.

I love both of them because they are unique... but darling! Great ideas! I would personally go with plum and brown, but I think that you could make a beautiful wedding with rust and brown too and that isn't something that you see everyday. Either way you can't go wrong on this one. Do some research and find out what type of flowers or in season (or fake if you are doing that) and then you can go from there. Good luck!

Meg, I really do like both. I think the brown and rust is more unique, and there does seem to be alot of rust colored clothes around the year, but plum should be really easy to find to. I say do what YOU love most. Dan, manly-shamly, this is a wedding nothing about a wedding is manly! Although I do like the idea of grape cool-aid.

All I'm gonna say is that I totally wish I would have had Spencer in a chocolate brown suit/tux... something to think about. :)

Orange and Purple (which are variances of plum and rust) go great together and is really big this fall....I'm just sayin, if you can't decide then put them together:).

Congrats and Good luck!

I vote for dark chocolate brown and plum. They are very good colors, both are more manly than some would initally believe. They are elegant, sophsticated colors that will look beautiful in your wedding celebrations.

Congratulations! (again)

Both are awesome but I love the rust and dark chocolate combo. I'm not sure how you'd incorporate those colors into a bouquet...roses or gerber daisies maybe? I will not profess to know what I'm talking about when it comes to flower arrangements. Ask Travis :)
